City Tour Saigon will be started to visit The War Remnants Museum, or War Crimes Museum, a must see for anyone interested in late 20th century history. The tanks, helicopters, planes and arms on display are not what make of this an important visit. What draws most visitors here are the images on display. Visitors can see the effects of the weapons of mass destruction used by the Americans during The Vietnam War (or American War, as locals call it). The next visit at Reunification Palace, on April 30, 1975, communist tanks smashed through the gates of the Presidential Palace, symbol of the South Vietnamese government. Guides at the renamed Reunification Palace now offer daily tours to visitors. The Palace is also noted for its striking 1960s architecture, the creation of Paris-trained Vietnamese architect Ngo Viet Thu. Included on the tour are visits to Conference Rooms, Presidential Receiving Room, Basement Tunnels and War Room, Telecommunications Center and the Residential.
Then, continued drive passing The Notre Dame Cathedral, General Post Office and Ben Thanh Market, a short visit at Giac Lam Pagoda and Thien Hau Pagoda in the bustling China Town.
