|Snake Farm Museum, it is a section of the Thai Red Cross, the institute has become a popular tourist attraction because of its large collection of live poisonous snakes.
Slide presentations, snake catching, milking and feeding can be seen here, with information on snakes for the general public.
In 1923, Dr. Leopold Robert, the first director of Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute, raised funds from foreign residents in Thailand for the building of this snake farm in order to use the venom miked from snakes for the production of anti-snake bite serum, because imported serum was not suitable for bites of Thai snakes.
