The village of Doi Chaang was once the center of the opium production trade in Thailand by the Akha Hill Tribes until the mother of King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand withdrew from public life in Bangkok and retired to Chiang Rai.

A few years ago, no one who have ever heard of Thai grown coffees. And yet, in a pocket of what was once the infamous Golden Triangle of Thailand, an indigenous people, the Akha Hill Tribes have for the last 20 years, been lifting themselves up from generational destitution through the cultivation of coffee.

The famous quality of coffee plantation at Doi Chaang Village community sits on a mountainous hillside covers more than 6,000 acres and is surrounded by lush old forest growth, fresh flowing spring water and breathtaking mountain views.

The best tea plantation in Thailand at Doi Wawee, Which lived by large villagers and the resident community of the Chinese haw or Chinese yunnan, they are a total of 13 hill tribes lived in the village such as Aqkaq, Muser, Lee Sor, Karen, Yao and others.
